Program Notes:

This text repeats the phrase “Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal have mercy on us!” many times. This drives in the point of God’s Holiness, and his mercifulness. Although we may not always feel worthy of His mercy, He still provides it for us. I grew up praying this text many times, so it has been with me for my whole life. Although it is very simple, it can be very deep. This piece is meant to be an exploration of harmony and the relationship of one harmony to the next.
