Fragments of a Lost Mind
The album Fragments of a Lost Mind seeks to explore the beauty and diversity of the human voice. The first four pieces are inspired by texts that have stood out to me over the years. As I set and edited them, I gained a deeper understanding of their words, which shaped each piece. I strove to give those words life and bring out their beauty as my understanding of each text grew.
The last piece of the album, Fragments of a Lost Mind, was written as a study in extended techniques, as well as singing without text. Every movement showcases new vocal timbres and colors.
This album has been a journey in exploring the incredible nuances of the voice and seeking to create beauty with it.
